Last weekend, the area opposite the Cambodia Post Office was bustling with activity as ambassadors, diplomats, bankers, numerous cigar enthusiasts from Europe and America, as well as successful individuals from Hong Kong, Macau, and the Chinese community gathered to celebrate the opening of MUFASA CIGAR CLUB.
In the evening, Ms. H.E. Milena Piedra, the Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia and Vietnam, Mr. Javier Solar, the Spanish Consul in Cambodia, Mr. Thierry de Roland Peel, the Bulgarian Consul in Cambodia, Dr. Alain Cole, a well-known figure from Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia, Mr. Piras Eric, a global cigar critic, Mr. Lorrain Talmant, head of the PCC Pacific Cigar Cambodia company, and cigar enthusiast Mr. Dafai Lam jointly raised golden scissors to cut the ribbon for the official opening of Mufasa Cigar Club!

With ribbons fluttering and the fragrance of roses mingling with the scent of Cuban tobacco, the entire building radiated a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of a street in France or a corner of a Caribbean island.
Yes, Mufasa Cigar Club is located in a well-preserved area of colonial French architecture in Phnom Penh—an almost century-old building across from the Cambodia Post Office. After months of restoration and renovation, this colonial-style structure, adorned with vibrant Spanish red on the exterior and soft beige tones inside, has been revitalized, bringing back stories of its former grandeur. The current stars of this story are the exquisite cigars from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras, Brazil, and the United States, quietly stored in this century-old building, like a crystal palace for cigars, awaiting the arrival of cigar connoisseurs and enthusiasts from around the world!
Ms. H.E. Milena Piedra, the Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia and Vietnam, carefully toured every corner of Mufasa Cigar Club’s decor and expressed her delight in witnessing the opening of a large-scale cigar club in Phnom Penh, providing a space for cigar lovers to enjoy their passion. She also mentioned that she would welcome and support Mufasa Cigar Club in hosting more cigar events, bringing more Cuban culture and exchanges to the area. Recently, a cigar roller from Cuba will be stationed at Mufasa Cigar Club, allowing cigar enthusiasts to experience the rich flavors of hand-rolled Cuban cigars up close!
